Job summary

Morgan & Morgan in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice attorney to join our growing department. The attorney will handle a heavy case load from intake through trial and support pre-litigation, discovery, and trial preparation.

You will work with clients, manage complex litigation, and collaborate with expert witnesses, paralegals, and support staff in a top producing team. JD, Alabama Bar admission, and 5+ years of personal injury experience are required.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the AL State Bar Association.
• 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, ideally medical negligence/malpractice.
• Ability to manage high volume.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution, including trial.
• Drafting and filing litigation documents, pleadings, discovery, motions and memoranda.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Interact with expert witnesses, conferences, reports and affidavits.
• Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings and trial.

Summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Attorney to join our growing Medical Malpractice department. The Medical Malpractice Attorney will handle and support a heavy and complex case-load of cases from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial. This is an opportunity to join an established practice group and one of our top producing teams. This position would sit in our Birmingham, AL office.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution, including trial
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
• Guide clients through the case process
• Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
• Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances and trial
