Job summary

Astria Health in Sunnyside, WA is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform assays on patient samples using automated and manual testing procedures to aid provider diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology field and English fluency. A national ASCP certification is preferred. Shift is a 12-hour day schedule with full-time employment and a safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology.
• National certification from ASCP preferred.
• Oral and written fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs assays accurately and timely on patient samples using automated and manual testing procedures.
• Performs pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis and instrument maintenance.
• Maintains policies and procedures to stay in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
• Recognizes problems, identifies causes and makes corrections using preset strategies.
• Performs other duties as assigned; collaborates across organizational boundaries; adheres to core values.
