Job summary

The Christ Hospital Laboratory is seeking a qualified professional to perform and oversee a broad range of laboratory tests, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective patient care in Cincinnati, OH. Under supervision, you will support QC, sample preparation, and instrument maintenance while fostering continuous improvement and staff training.

You will participate in training and cross-functional rotations, ensuring compliance with policies and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Preferred: certification/licensure meeting CLIA/CAP requirements for high complexity testing.
• No experience required; 2 years of experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts, directs, or assists in special projects, evaluations, or research initiatives.
• Participates in scheduled cross-training rotations while demonstrating competency across sections of the Clinical Laboratory.
• Identifies areas for improvement, recommends methodologies, and helps implement new procedures.
• Helps establish job requirements and goals and performs duties at a competent level.
• May train bench personnel and students; serves as subject matter expert for the laboratory information system as needed.
