Qualifications

• Two-year Medical Laboratory Technician degree required.
• Four-year degree from an accredited program or two-year degree with MT Certification recognized.
• ASCP certification or equivalent required or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Performs tests in Hematology, Microbiology, Serology, Blood Gas/POC, Chemistry or Blood Bank.
• Maintains supply inventory for section.
• Performs maintenance on analyzers and validates new tests.
• Implements new analyzers, trains staff, and reviews section policies annually.
• Performs data review and prepares test reports.
• Ensures quality-control procedures and corrective actions are followed.
