Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform a full range of waived to high-complexity testing, report results, and interpret findings for timely pathologist communication.

The role requires a Florida-licensed technologist. A sign-on bonus may apply under certain conditions, and none experience is required for eligibility. The organization is a private, nonprofit community-based health system serving a wide North Florida region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• Licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with added specialties in clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and/or serology.
• Required Experience: None

Responsibilities

• Performs a full range of waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing; reports results.
• Confirms test results’ accuracy and precision.
• Reports laboratory findings to the pathologist and other physicians on a timely basis.
• Utilizes complete understanding of testing procedures and theoretical knowledge to interpret results and troubleshoot problems encountered during testing.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 483 (Health Testing Services), Part I (Clinical Laboratory Personnel) with added specialties in clinical chemistry, and/or hematology, and/or microbiology, and/or serology.
