Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead the Emergency Center Northeast (ECNE) medical laboratory personnel and ensure quality patient care. The role provides the necessary equipment, policies, and processes for efficient operations and budget stewardship.

The position requires a Florida CLS license or supervisor license, a bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science, and 2 years of related experience in a regulated lab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
• Two (2) years of job-related experience.
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license. Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license with microbiology, serology, hematology, and clinical chemistry specialties.

Responsibilities

• Creates an optimal environment for the medical laboratory personnel in the Emergency Center Northeast (ECNE) to provide quality patient care.
• Provides the technology, supplies, policies, and procedures for quality work.
• Serves as an interface with administration and clients.
• Holds primary responsibility for scheduling, evaluating, directing staff members.
• Evaluated the lab’s work quality.
• Prepares and monitors section budget.
• Ensures compliance with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH), The Joint Commission (TJC), and the College of American Pathologists (CAP) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education:
