Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Ascension St Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. This is a 3rd shift position where you will perform routine and complex testing, monitor instrumentation, and ensure accurate results to deliver high-quality patient care.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological sciences or MLS, with 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience or an MLS degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
