5x8 Evening (8 hours per shift)

Pay Rate:

$2,450 per week

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Medical Technologist (Med Tech) to join our laboratory team in Newton, MA for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced lab environment and be comfortable performing a wide range of diagnostic testing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Validate test results, analyze data, and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic information critical to patient care.
• Accurately document all testing and results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Participate in continuing education and competency assessments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• Certification by ASCP (MT/MLS) or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical laboratory experience preferred.
