Formación

• Associate's Degree in Medical Technology is required.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for specimen handling.
• Excellent customer service and communication with staff, patients, and families.
• Ability to report accurate lab results and maintain quality control.
• Follows CAP/CLSI standards.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates work-flow of phlebotomists in Specimen Processing area.
• Assures accurate and efficient transportation of lab-related supplies, equipment and specimens.
• Follows regulatory guidelines in handling/processing of laboratory specimens.
• Communicate effectively with NMHS staff, patients, their family members and customers.
• Attends CARES training.
• Ensures proper service recovery is done for patients and/or caregivers.
• Answers telephone in a polite and efficient manner.
• Works as part of a team with all Pathology and NMHS employees.
• Assures department testing is reported accurately and timely.
• Assists with department Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Assures documentation of instrument maintenance and quality control.
