Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform complex tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues under minimal supervision.

The role requires an associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, or a military lab procedures background, with eligibility for ASCP/AMT board certification within 18 months of hire. Evening and night shift differentials apply, with PRN exposure and varied hours.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology or military equivalent with 50 weeks coursework.
• Must be eligible for ASCP, AMT or equivalent board certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues.
• Work under minimal supervision following laboratory policies and regulatory guidelines.
