Job Description

The Medical Lab Technician/Medical Lab Scientist is responsible for performing and analyzing complex medical laboratory tests and procedures, requiring independent judgment with supervision.

Work Schedule

Casual position with full-time training for approximately 7 weeks. Schedule based on department needs, with a minimum of 3 shifts per month, hours varying from day/evening/night.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
• Current certification as Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist (MLT/MLS) by the National Board of Registry, American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). If not present at hire, must obtain within one year.
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines.
• Knowledge to provide technical instructions and communicate with other departments on clinical laboratory procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

1-2 years of experience.
