Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System seeks a Tech/MLT to perform waived and non-waived complexity analysis of patient specimens under supervision of the Technical Coordinator. The role supports the Laboratory Services department and integrates with the hospital’s overall operations.

Responsibilities include quality control, policy participation, and instrument maintenance, with emphasis on service excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science preferred.
• One year experience preferred.
• ASCP, AMT, and/or NCA preferred or eligible.
• Certification Maintenance Program required for those certified as of 2004.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and non-waived complexity analysis of patient specimens.
• Ensure adherence to CAP, CLIA'88, JCAHO, AABB standards and hospital policies.
• Monitor quality control data and instrument maintenance.
• Participate in safety and maintenance programs.
• Support quality improvement and policy development within the lab.
