Qualifications

• Associate degree in Laboratory Science required.
• National certification for MLT or CLT through an approved HHSA agency (e.g., ASCP) or registry eligible.
• Registry eligible candidates must complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment.
• If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed or have a provisional license by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.
• Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing.
• Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met.
• Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel and collaborates with other departments across the enterprise.
• Demonstrates critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
