Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician II to perform, evaluate, and report technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Under the direction of a licensed Medical Technologist, you will ensure accuracy and timely reporting following established protocols.

The role requires an Associate degree in Medical Technology and 3–5 years of MLS experience, with ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in Medical Technology.
• 3–5 years of Medical Laboratory Technician experience.
• ASCP certification required; AMT and AAB certifications preferred; Tennessee Medical Laboratory Board qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate testing of specimens according to established protocols.
• Report test results in a timely manner per lab procedures.
• Ensure quality control and regulatory/compliance requirements are met.
• Effectively manage resources including supplies and equipment.
• Plan work and complete responsibilities efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
