Medical Laboratory Technician I - Hastings, MN - Monday-Friday (Rotational Weekends) Shifts vary 08:30-5:00 to 11:00-7:30

Perform routine lab tests under the supervision of senior laboratory personnel in qualified specialties.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.24 / hour

Salary offers depend on skills, experience, education, certifications, and market factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual bonuses.

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform and report analytical tests following SOPs, ensuring quality control.
2. Support and adhere to laboratory policies for specimen handling, testing, and record keeping.
3. Maintain timely reporting of results, including critical results.
4. Ensure reagents and test kits are properly documented and within expiration.
5. Conduct QC analyses, make quality decisions, and report deviations.
6. Review and document test results in the Laboratory Information System.
7. Maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment.
8. Complete training and comply with safety regulations.
9. Assist clients and participate in inspections as needed.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433.
• Preferred 1-3 years clinical experience.
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds with assistance, stand for long periods, and use manual and automated pipettes.
• Knowledge of clinical testing procedures and organizational policies.
• Skills in detail orientation, independence, prioritization, communication, confidentiality, and proficiency in MS Office and LIS.

Education: Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Certifications: ASCP Certification required.
