Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician at Essentia Virginia Hospital. The role involves performing tests of all complexities as defined by CLIA and reporting results for patients of all ages.

You will participate in QA/QC, instrument maintenance, and phlebotomy, while delivering excellent customer service. Education requires an associate degree in MLT or CLIA-equivalent qualifications, with ASCP or equivalent certification within one year of hire.

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or meet CLIA guidelines for testing complexity.
• ASCP or equivalent certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report tests of all complexity levels per CLIA on patients of all ages.
• Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, specimen processing, phlebotomy, and customer service.
