Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician to support a medical facility in Charlotte, NC. This is a 3+ months contract-to-hire role with a W2 pay rate of $23-$26/hr. Shift: Mon–Fri 12 PM-8:30 PM.

Responsibilities include evaluating specimens, performing testing across urinalysis, hematology, and chemistry, and operating analytical instruments. Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science and 1–2 years of clinical lab testing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• 1–2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience preferred/required.
• Generalist laboratory experience in hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens to ensure they meet testing requirements.
• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in urinalysis, hematology, and chemistry.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers.
• Work with instruments such as Roche cobas, Sysmex XN, Clinitek Novus, Beckman Iris.
• Perform manual microscopic examinations and manual differentials.
• Experience with Orchard LIS for laboratory testing and documentation.
• Make technical decisions and troubleshoot testing issues.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results.
• Perform and document quality control and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and replenish laboratory supplies.
• Assist with specimen processing when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow PPE requirements.
• Work effectively in a high-complexity, high-volume laboratory setting.
