Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine testing with adherence to CLIA standards. The role involves processing specimens, testing, and reporting results across multiple disciplines, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of patient results.

The position is full-time, day shift, on-site at CentraCare Clearwater Clinic, with potential travel to other CentraCare locations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from CLT/MLT program required per CLIA regulation (before 9/1/1997 qualifications acceptable)
• BOC certification or exam completed within 6 months of hire with verification within six weeks of exam
• At least 1 year recent experience in a clinical laboratory preferred
• Good computer knowledge and input skills
• A valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing and procedures per established protocols
• Process specimens from collection through testing and reporting across multiple lab disciplines
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of lab results to support patient care
• Maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance while delivering quality service
