Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Completion of a 50-week medical laboratory military course with Medical Laboratory Specialist.
• Completion of ABHES/CAAHEP approved clinical lab training with at least 3 months high complexity testing.
• CLIA high complexity qualification as of Dec 28 2024 and ongoing in the facility.
• Education/experience documentation on file with Laboratory (GHR).

Responsibilities

• Perform tests on blood, urine and other body fluids to aid in diagnosis and evaluation of patient status.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain awareness and professionalism with patients, visitors, co-workers and all customers.
• Fulfill departmental responsibilities in line with Centennial Medical Center's mission and long-range plan.

Education

Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) utilizes skills and training to perform test of samples of blood, urine and other body fluids to obtain information utilized in diagnosis and evaluation of patient medical status. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains appropriate awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Centennial Medical Center.

What qualifications you will need:

Must qualify by one of the:

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or
• Completion of a medical laboratory military course of at least 50 weeks and have held the position of Medical Laboratory Specialist, or
• Completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES or the CAAHEP and have at least 3 months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing, or
• Documentation that the individual was qualified and serving as a high complexity testing personnel in a CLIA-certified laboratory as of December 28th 2024, and done so continuously since December 28th, 2024.
• Documentation of Education and or experience must be on file with the Laboratory and uploaded into GHR
