The Ultrasound Technologist at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, provides imaging services and supports high-quality patient care in a fast-paced diagnostic setting. You will perform stationary and portable exams, document results in Meditech, and verify images in PACS, while adhering to disinfection standards.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited Sonography program, ARDMS eligibility/registration within six months, and BLS certification; RDMS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS registered or eligible to acquire registration within six months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and abdomen specialty within one year.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Ultrasound Technologist performs various imaging procedures ordered by physicians and manages daily activities to ensure quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.

What You Will Do in This Role:

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.


• Manage day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.


• Demonstrate the ability to perform stationary and portable exams.


• Accurately follow physician orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.


• Follow proper procedures for quality controls and High-Level Disinfection (HLD)related to equipment and accessories.


• Demonstrate proper documentation concerning the patients history, including lab values.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.


• ARDMS registered or eligible to acquire registration within six months of hire.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)certification.


• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)must be obtained within one year of employment start date.


• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen Specialty (RDMS-AB)must be obtained within one year of employment start date.


• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).


• One year of experience required.


• Previous acute care experience scanning abdominal, vascular, OB, and some peds strongly preferred.


• Inpatient and womens ultrasound experience strongly preferred.
