Pride Health is seeking a Lab Technician to support a medical facility in Centerville, TN 37033. The role involves performing routine laboratory tests and assisting with equipment setup and maintenance.

Phlebotomy experience is required. Education includes a high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s degree preferred. Schedule is 3 days per week, 7am–7:30pm; pay rate is $30/hour; contract duration 6+ months with potential to go permanent.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise lab setup, maintenance, and cleanliness of equipment.
• Strong documentation and data review skills to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
• Supervise setup, adjustment, maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment.
• Review test results for conformity to specifications using appropriate devices.
• Review data records for accuracy and integrity of results.
• Collect blood or tissue samples with aseptic technique as required.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Centerville, TN 37033

Duration: 6+ months + Contract to Possible.

Pay rate: $30/hour

Schedule: Any 3 days in a week, 7am - 7:30pm , to discussed in the interview.

Phlebotomy Experience Required.

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

• The main function of a lab technician is to perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
• A typical lab technician may work under the supervision of a medical technologist.
• Job Responsibilities: Supervise the set up, adjusting, maintenance and cleaning of medical laboratory equipment.
• Review and approve the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices.
• Review the record of test data for accuracy.
• Review pathology results when abnormal cells are found.
• May conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into computer.
• May conduct blood tests for transfusion purposes and perform blood counts.
• May collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample.
• Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage one time.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
• Strong knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.
• Strong ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.
