The University of South Alabama is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to support routine and complex tests in a busy clinical lab. You will perform high-quality analyses, maintain instruments, and follow strict quality control procedures.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team. Regular attendance and adherence to infection control standards are required.

Competenze

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or completion of an accredited MLT program.
• Registry eligible with ASCP or AMT as an MLT.
• Comparable education/experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Mansioni

• Abides by compliance requirements and policies in an ethical manner.
• Maintains expertise and participates in continuing education.
• Teaches instrument operation to CLT students or new staff as assigned.
• Performs routine, timed, and STAT moderate/high complexity laboratory tests.
• Maintains and calibrates instruments and uses LIS/HIS/PC programs.
• Draws blood specimens from patients if required.
• Documents results, QC data, and corrective actions.
