Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required.
• Five years as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a patient-centered environment.
• Verification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by a national certifying agency required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of a medical/environmental laboratory and staff; set goals and supervise work.
• Supervise laboratory staff including hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling.
• Provide technical oversight, evaluate test procedures, and prepare for accreditation inspections.
• Perform and interpret laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other fluids; review results for accuracy.
• Develop and monitor budgets, review contracts with suppliers, and manage inventories.
• Ensure safety practices compliance and participate in ongoing quality control.
