Job summary

Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua, WI is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist to join our Laboratory Services team. This Generalist role performs a broad range of tests across departments to support patient care.

You will work 7 days on / 7 days off with rotating nights (8:00 PM - 7:00 AM; 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM weekends). We offer competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant laboratory experience strongly preferred.
• ASCP certification preferred; CPR certification required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report a variety of laboratory analyses from multiple specimen sources.
• Function independently as a Generalist across laboratory departments.
• Maintain accuracy, quality, and timeliness of test results.
• Assist with laboratory quality improvement projects.
• Participate in operational support activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
• Adhere to all laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Description

Vernon Memorial Healthcare is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist/technologist to join our Laboratory Services team. This position functions as a Generalist, demonstrating full competency across laboratory departments and performing a broad scope of testing procedures for patients of all ages.

Position Responsibilities

Education & Certifications

Education: B achelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution; or have earned an associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.

• Experience:Minimum3 years of relevant laboratory experience strongly preferred
