Job summary

Texas Health Kaufman is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Laboratory Department. The role focuses on maintaining specimen integrity, adhering to quality controls, and supporting a diverse, rapidly growing community hospital lab.

You will participate in staff training, support orientation, and demonstrate cost-effective practices while upholding THR Promise Behaviors in a newly remodeled laboratory with the latest technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related science.
• Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program is required.
• 2 years of experience in a medical laboratory is preferred or 6 months in Microbiology if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains specimen integrity throughout the testing process.
• Gives direction and guidance to technical staff and laboratory support personnel.
• Participates in orientation and training of students, volunteers, new employees and observers.
• Adheres to THR Promise Behaviors.

Here’s What You Need - Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred.
