You will work across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and other disciplines, operate and maintain instruments, ensure quality control, and communicate critical results to care teams.

A strong scientific foundation, precision, and adherence to regulatory standards are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA., upon hire
• Strong scientific foundation and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to perform complex lab tests and quality control processes

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens adhering to SOPs to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Provides excellent patient care through clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of caregivers of critical values
• Ensures major automated equipment is operational by maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting; including contacting vendors for assistance
• Performs required calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records
• Performs proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leaders
• Assists in evaluation and documentation for validation of new procedures and equipment
