Responsibilities

• Performs waived, moderately complex, and highly complex tests per SOPs to ensure accurate reporting.
• Provides clinical correlation of results and notifies caregivers of critical values.
• Maintains automated equipment through calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting; coordinates vendor support when needed.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and keeps thorough records.
• Participates in proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leaders.
• Assists in evaluating and documenting new procedures and equipment validation.
