• Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens adhering to SOPs to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Provides patient-centered care through clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of caregivers of critical values.
• Maintains automated equipment through calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting; contacts vendors as needed.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records of testing within parameters.
• Performs proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leaders.
• Assists in evaluation and documentation for validation of new procedures and equipment.
