Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or MLS-qualified candidate for the Microbiology Lab in Fort Worth, TX. The position involves ensuring specimen integrity, conducting test procedures, and maintaining quality control in a fast-paced environment.

LS candidates with MLS/ASCP certification or pending certification within 6 months are welcome. The role offers three 8-hour shifts (2:30 PM–11:00 PM, Fri–Sun) at 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MLS/Medical Technology or related science preferred.
• Internship in an approved Medical Technician training program required.
• MLS (ASCP) MLS certification expected within 6 months after hire.
• MT (ASCP) MT certification expected within 6 months after hire.

Here’s What You Need

MLS Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree for an MLS Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred (or attained within 3 months of hire date).
• Individuals hired as a CLS II prior to January 3, 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS position with existing education.
• Internship in an approved Medical Technician training program required.
• 2 years’ experience in a Medical Laboratory preferred.
• Experience in Clinical Microbiology is highly preferred.
• MLS (ASCP) Medical Lab Scientist required within 6 months after hire
• MT (ASCP) Medical Technologist required within 6 months after hire
• Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology required within 6 months after hire
• M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology required within 6 months after hire
