Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead – Phlebotomy

Position Highlights:

• Location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104
• Assist in HR activities as directed by the supervisor, manager, or director.
• Act as laboratory leadership in the absence of Director, Supervisor, or Manager.
• Participate in leadership activities and continuing education.
• Model good work habits including attendance and productivity.
• Oversee procedures for downtime and recovery.
• Create and oversee scheduling if required.
• Model THR Leadership Behaviors and exemplify professional accountability.
• Assess ongoing competency as needed.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Participate in project assignments, facility changes, and implementation of new methods or instruments.
• Participate in budget preparation and manage supplies, reagent inventory, costs, and section charges.
• Assist in writing procedures and installing new instruments, including testing and documentation.
• Participate on interdisciplinary teams.

Required qualifications:

• Participate in the development and maintenance of information system files and applications, including new application testing, file maintenance/testing in LIS/HIS, and program development or maintenance.
• Manage resources within the section/cost center budget and productivity indicators.
• Provide information for budget preparation, evaluate resource costs, place supply orders, and monitor resource use.
• Investigate supply and delivery issues, meet productivity and budget targets.
