Job summary

CommonSpirit Health’s Yavapai Regional Medical Center laboratory seeks a skilled Medical Technologist to perform complex diagnostic tests across hematology, chemistry, and microbiology. You will analyze specimens, operate and maintain instruments, and ensure quality control with timely reporting.

You will join a Not‑for‑profit health system with a strong commitment to patient care, bridging community hospitals and advanced imaging services in Prescott and the surrounding region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA is required.
• Strong scientific foundation and advanced technical proficiency are essential for accurate lab work.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail are expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens according to SOPs.
• Provides clinical correlation of results and communicates critical values to caregivers.
• Maintains and troubleshoots major automated equipment and coordinates with vendors as needed.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures with proper record-keeping.
• Participates in proficiency testing and reviews results with lab leaders.
• Contributes to validation and documentation of new procedures and equipment for current lab technology.
