Job summary

ProMedica Laboratories - Toledo North is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform complex laboratory tests essential for diagnosing, treating, and preventing a variety of medical conditions. You will apply critical thinking to evaluate and solve problems with specimens and provide interpretation of those results.

You will also serve as the expert when questions arise and act as a connector to foster communication between the lab and health care teams.

Qualifications

• Requires Doctoral, Master's or Bachelor's in clinical laboratory science or medical technology or equivalent.
• ASCP MLS or Categorical eligibility with certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests essential for diagnosis and treatment.
• Provide interpretation of test results.
• Answer questions regarding results and factors affecting results as the expert for the team.
• Foster effective communication between the lab and health care teams.
