Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital Laboratories – Toledo Main Department: Hemato Pathology – seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform complex laboratory tests essential for diagnosing and treating diverse conditions. You will use critical thinking to evaluate results and provide interpretations, serving as the expert when questions arise.

You will also act as a connector to foster effective communication between the lab and health care teams, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Doctoral, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Or transcripts showing 60 semester hours with 24 semester hours of medical technology or 24 science hours with chemistry/biology requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex lab tests essential for diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
• Use critical thinking to evaluate and solve problems with biological specimens.
• Provide interpretation of tests and answer questions regarding results.
