Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of an accredited medical laboratory scientist program.
• National Certification (ASCP/AAB/AMT) or eligible; certification required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Verifies routine results and quality control data for accuracy and reliability.
• Performs quality control, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Maintains licensure and complies with Baptist Health policies and procedures.
• Communicates critical results to the patient caregiver and reports unusual findings.
• Maintains regular attendance and contributes to laboratory quality improvement.
