Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of an accredited medical laboratory scientist program.
• National Certification as ASCP/AAB/AMT or equivalent, or eligible for board certification. Certification required within 6 months from hire.

Responsibilities

• Verifies routine results and quality control data for accuracy and reliability.
• Performs, evaluates, and documents QC, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintains license and adheres to Baptist Health policies.
• Communicates critical results to the patient caregiver and reports unusual findings.
• Follows policies to ensure high-quality lab results within timeframes.
