Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The role is full-time with a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift and rotating weekends/holidays.

The MLS will perform routine and specialty laboratory tests, ensure accurate results, and maintain equipment. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in clinical laboratory science and MLS/MT (ASCP) certification, with at least one year of high/moderate complexity testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited program.
• Current MLS/MT (ASCP) certification.
• Minimum of one year of laboratory experience in high/Moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special lab tests and record results.
• Evaluate results for clinical significance and reporting.
• Calibrate, maintain, and repair instruments; detect malfunctions.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance; take corrective actions.
• Participate in proficiency testing.
• Conduct specialty tests in chemistry, hematology, coagulation.
• Support disease-specific accreditations and meet turn-around time goals.
