Job summary

Vetted Solutions is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join a state-of-the-art laboratory team. You will perform and report diverse analyses from multiple specimen sources to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key duties include maintaining instruments, troubleshooting, quality control, proper specimen handling, and assisting in training new staff. A BS in science and an accredited MLS program or certification are required.

Qualifications

BS degree from an accredited institution.
ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Science program or relevant certification.
Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
Ability to handle specimens accurately, troubleshoot instruments, and navigate computer systems.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory tests, maintain instrument functionality, troubleshoot, and perform quality control.
Proper specimen handling, identification, accessioning, and resolving discrepancies.
Manage reagent and supply replenishment per protocols.
Use multiple computer applications and follow reporting procedures.
Assist in training new staff and participate in ongoing education to maintain competency.
