Baptist Medical Center East is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to provide timely and courteous service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff by performing laboratory analyses accurately and efficiently.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science and national ASCP certification; MT/MLS credentials are accepted. The position is full-time on the second shift (7 on / 7 off) at Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, AL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a chemical, biological, or clinical/medical laboratory science required.
• Clinical laboratory training culminating in national certification as defined by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Board of Registry.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Laboratory Scientist shall provide timely and courteous service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff by performing laboratory analyses accurately and efficiently.
• This individual shall detect unusual conditions and assume responsibility for problem solving.
• This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
