Henry Ford Plymouth is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform generalist testing with emphasis on STAT turnarounds in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. The role supports hands-on analysis, collaboration with clinicians, and continuous learning in a LEAN-oriented lab setting.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field, with ASCP eligibility or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory discipline or related field (ASCP eligibility routes)
• Six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting
• Demonstrated technical proficiency and knowledge to perform lab functions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework aligned to Medical Laboratory discipline and meets the education Eligibility Routes for Medical Laboratory Scientist listed on the ASCP website at (ascp.org)
  • OR Certification as a BB, C, CG, CT, M, MB
  • OR meets AAB/AMT certification requirements.
• Six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification at the technologist or medical/clinical lab scientist level from a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW).
