About the Role
Culmen International is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist supports clinical and research testing by preparing samples, running assays, and reporting results to researchers and veterinarians conducting studies in high-containment labs.
What You'll Do in Your New Role
Perform CBC, serum chemistry, and microbiology tests.
- Prepare blood, tissue, and fluid specimens for analysis.
- Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments.
- Document test results and maintain quality controls.
- Participate in lab inspections and audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or related field.
- 5+ years in clinical or research lab testing.
- Proficient in clinical lab instrumentation and QA.
- Knowledge of infectious disease biosafety requirements.
- Familiarity with animal research studies.
- Organized and precise in lab documentation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.
Desired Qualifications
- MLS (ASCP) Certification preferred.
