Job summary

Patient First is seeking a dedicated laboratory professional to support specimen collection, processing, and analysis in our fast-paced centers. You will ensure accurate reporting and documentation of test results while upholding QC policies.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and consistent, friendly customer service in a patient-facing environment. Prior clinical lab experience and ASCP certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Keyboarding experience required; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• One year of clerical experience preferred; one year of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Completion of 60 semester hours including chemistry, biology, and medical laboratory techniques, or an Associate degree in chemistry/biology or related science.
• Registered Medical Technologists (M.T.) or Medical Laboratory Technicians (M.L.T.) preferred; registry-eligible encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Collect, handle, and process specimens following laboratory procedures.
• Perform test analyses and report results; maintain records of results.
• Adhere to QC policies; document calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify indicators affecting test performance and notify supervisor or correct as needed.
• Order, receive, and distribute laboratory stock in the lab and treatment area.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines; provide courteous customer service.
• Support teamwork and maintain a professional atmosphere.
• Complete other duties as directed.
