Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist to perform specimen collection, test analyses, and accurate reporting while adhering to safety policies. The role involves documenting quality controls, maintenance, and calibrations, ensuring proper stocking in the lab and treatment area, and maintaining a positive, collaborative environment.

The candidate should have strong verbal and written communication, keyboarding, and clerical experience, plus clinical or military lab

Qualifications

• Minimum 60 semester hours from a regionally accredited college, including chemistry, biology, and medical laboratory techniques.
• Associate degree in chemistry, biology or related science; clinical rotations completed.
• Registered MT/MLT by ASCP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow lab procedures for specimen collection, processing, test analyses, reporting and record-keeping.
• Document quality controls, instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify indicators affecting test performance and notify supervisor if needed.
• Manage laboratory stock and distribution in lab and treatment areas.
• Adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Provide warm, friendly customer service and foster teamwork.
