Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a part-time Technologist-Medical for the Winder, GA laboratory. Responsible for prioritizing and completing testing with accurate records and adherence to Joint Commission standards.

Provides care to adolescent through geriatric patients and participates in QA and education activities. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology and licensure (ASCP/NCA/AMT) with relevant laboratory experience or training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in medical technology or a related field.
• Licensure as ASCP, NCA, or AMT required per Georgia state rules.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and perform routine and stat laboratory tests accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and enter data into the computer system.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment; review QC data and report abnormal results.
• Precept students and participate in continuing education activities.
