Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in MT/MLS or AS MT with licensure
• Completion of Laboratory Clinical Rotation
• Current licensure in MT(ASCP) or MT(AMT) or CLT(HHS) or RMT(AAB)
• 6 months to complete the certification exam after hire

Responsibilities

• Perform proficiency testing like patient samples.
• Report clinical lab results after independent judgment.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA 88, and state regs.
• Assist with health fairs, correlations, and MT/MLT student training.
• Use QC samples to verify accuracy and precision.
• Follow specimen collection, labeling, transport, and processing procedures.
• Calibrate and maintain instruments/test procedures as required.
• Troubleshoot problems with supervisors and document outcomes.
• Operate computer systems for order entry, results, and billing.
• Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
