This position will require regularly using a computer for extended periods with some repetitive motion.

Shift

Day shift. Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM. Weekends as needed.

Job Summary

The Medical Lab Technician will be responsible for supporting the Laboratory in a fast-paced academic medical center. The Laboratory provides services to all aspects of the Level I trauma center and throughout the healthcare enterprise, including solid organ and bone marrow transplant, KY Children’s Hospital, and Markey Cancer Center. This position will support the Send-Out department of the Clinical Laboratory. Preparing specimens for shipments to reference laboratories, tracking specimens, interacting with physicians and caregivers as to proper ordering of send-out tests. This position will also be responsible for receiving results and scanning those results into the electronic medical record.
