Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine testing in a fast-paced clinical lab. You will prepare reagents and maintain inventory while reducing waste and expense.

The role requires strict adherence to QA guidelines and proper documentation of non-conforming events. You will exercise clinical judgment to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot test systems, and communicate with leadership about issues affecting patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or equivalent education and training as defined by CLIA.
• MLT registry eligible or equivalent required.
• MLT (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent required within one year of hire.
• MLT certification through military medical laboratory programs acceptable.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to testing procedures and policies per quality assurance guidelines; documents corrective actions for non-conforming events.
• Prepares reagents and maintains adequate supply of materials; manages inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment to assess priorities and resolves issues by contacting appropriate departments or specialists.
