Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in medical laboratory sciences required.
• Current, unencumbered ASCP or AMT registration for MLT required.
• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory sciences required.
• Current, unencumbered ASCP or AMT registration for MLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures on blood and bodily fluids, collect specimens, perform various laboratory tests including chemistry, hematology, urine, coagulation, blood bank, microbiology, and blood gases. Analyze results and communicate findings.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, within manufacturer recommendations.
• Use problem-solving skills to resolve clinical and instrumental problems as they arise.
• Interpret and correlate test results with patient history and clinical condition to explain results for action.
• Collaborate with team to provide quality patient care and education to students/staff.
