Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform specimen testing, monitor quality, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves working with laboratory equipment, maintaining competency, and performing phlebotomy as appropriate.

The candidate should hold an Associate degree in medical technology or related field, a relevant state license, and ASCP/AMT/AAB certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in medical technology or related field, or military MLT certificate. Copy of Transcript.
• Current license in the state of practice (if applicable).
• ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification as Medical Lab Technician. Certification Maintenance Program requirements apply for incumbents certified on/after Jan 1, 2004.
• Hospital or clinical laboratory testing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and data entry/ retrieval.
