Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI, is seeking a Medical Lab Technician / MLS to join our team!

The Medical Laboratory Technician performs chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory, requiring independent judgment and interpretation. All individuals in this role meet the qualifications necessary to perform high-complexity testing as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA 88).

Will consider Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Scientist

HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, or 80 hours per pay period. Varied shifts, rotating weekends and holidays.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree in Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Previous applicable experience beneficial.
• Possesses and maintains active Medical Lab Technology (MLT-ASCP) or CLT-NCA certification or equivalent, or attains within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification may need to be obtained. All clinical personnel in this role are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin practice, and knowledge testing. Acceptable CPR training includes the BLS Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
