Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist for a PRN day shift in Summerville. The role involves performing laboratory tests, prioritizing work, and troubleshooting instruments while maintaining SOPs.

Candidates should have a BS in Medical Technology or related field, 3 years of clinical experience, and ASCP BOC certification. Internal candidates must meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements, external candidates must complete ladder

• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent required.
• Career Ladder position; internal candidates must meet Path and Lab ICCE requirements; external candidates must complete ladder within 90 days.

Maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required to work effectively. Develop, draft, revise SOPs, training documents, validation/verification plans, test cases, and validation/verification summaries. Maintain excellent communication with the Department and other Laboratory Services personnel.
